Which do you think are more effective now? Blogs are such hybrids that are now combining the resources, links etc with the content. Just got back from Blogworld Expo, which was awesome. There wasn't however sessions and content dedicated to employment, jobs, careers. We know that there are a lot of 'experts and educators out there providing blog-sites for careers and job seekers.

Depending on how they are setup and content, I think it depends. Blogs are great and full of fantastic content and sometimes more personal in touch. Targeted Career sites can offer a wide array of great information so I think you have to find what works for you.
I agree with Carrie about the content. For me, tone and writing style matters too.
